When I was younger, I didn’t like hiking. It was to much effort and getting up early in the morning just didn’t seem to be worth it. Since I moved to Northern Germany for my studies I miss views like this. So.. somehow I love hiking now.

We were on a hiking tour in the Bavarian Alps while there was a lot of dust and mood around us. After some hours we reached a place from where we had an extraordinary view to the mountains in front of us und suddenly there was a cloudburst and we got an even more tremendous view from there. It was one of these moments you will never forget.

I found this photo, which I have taken a year ago quite randomly while cleaning my external drive and when I saw it, I got the exact same emotions I had looking up to this tremendous mountain in the Bavarian alps. After finishing school there will hopefully be more possibility to experience further moments like that one.

We decided to go road tripping through Bavaria en Tirol with friends. We slept in our tents at night, played Uno, had beers. It was the nicest thing I’ve ever done. This photo was one of the first photos I made on the trip, so it’s kind of a very special one. The beginning of one of the best chapters in my life, maybe.

The last golden light of the day touches the rock face of Watzmann mountain in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. If you look closely you can spot the hut exposed right below the bottom of the top slope of the second hightest mountain in Germany.

This church in Bavaria can only be reached by boat due to his location on a peninsula. Directly behind there is a great trail to go hiking in the Alps.
